First time eating here! Just got into town and wanted a bite to eat. Ordered a burger and fries. The burger was seasoned pretty well and hand pressed!! Fries were hot and crispy. The waitress was great!
.. I'm so glad new owners brought this place back to life. Ive been snowed inn since like Christmas. Still close enough to call & order great food for pick up.. Reuben might be the best I've ever had! Someone cooks with passion this food is awesome.The bartender's service is excellent. This burger is huge, bigger & thicker than a whopper. Made to order, cooked how you like it. Onion rings are huge with real onion not minced The manager & other bartender are really nice guys. I hope they stay open all winter. The is nice relaxing atmosphere. They have a pool table. This is the best beach around to relax with your kids, and can have fun. Food & drinks all in one. Id rather support local businesses anyday.
NEW MANAGEMENT! I grew up eating here and had one miserable experience after another. This caused my family to not eat here for years. We decided to try it again under new management. Happy to say, Frog Pond seems to be back! Freezer broke when we went in, but the restaurant was clear and transparent about when it would re-open. Manager showed excellent communication skills and staff rolled with the punches to stay open. Food and service was pretty solid when we were seated. Could use some improvement still but with a restaurant being completely reinvented, we were overall very happy. Lake front outdoor seating, only restaurant on the water in Canadohta Lake. P.S- The beach seemed popping over the weekend as well!
It's so wonderful to see how a place can be turned around! The waitstaff is so friendly, and the food was delicious!
After poor ownership from the previous owners this is a great thing to see. Despite A freezer malfunction. We were kindly greeted and they explained what happened and we came back later for some appetizers. We had very friendly service and great appetizers. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice day. They really did a full 180 with this place and it’s great to see the new changes. Please if you have been here before, try it again after the reopening. I wish the best to the new owners.

Travis was our awesome server, ordered fresh walleye! It Order was absolutely superb. My only complaint is the plastic silverware if you are outside.
We loved our waitress the atmosphere was fabulous and the bar is neat!! Can't wait to go back with our suits and swim and ride that water slide!
